Emma Butler
Emma is a mixed media artist who has been based at Grenaby Artist Studios since 2022. Her art is inspired by nature and she seeks to capture the beauty and complexity of the natural world in her work. Emma is self-taught and particularly enjoys exploring colour and texture whilst working with acrylic, watercolour, coloured pencil and ink. Emma is always experimenting with new techniques and styles and loves learning about the history of pigments and colour in art. Emma was the winner of the 2D category and runner up in the Mixed Media category at the 2024 Hodgson Loom ‘Sun’ exhibition, with ‘Verdant Sunlight’ and ‘Sunbird’. As a qualified teacher, Emma is committed to sharing her passion for art with others and she has delivered art workshops during her artist residency in Studio Umami in the summer of 2024, as well as running the Isle of Man Nature Journal website and blog. www.emmabutlerart.com |
