Helen Faragher
Daily walks across the Island provide a constant source of visual material due to the ever-changing weather and its effect on the stunning landscapes. Helen's paintings are not a traditional replica of a view, rather they reflect the glimpse of a moment, inviting the viewer into an atmosphere they have already experienced subconsciously. She endeavours to awaken the senses so that the viewer feels the painting when they are out amongst their environment. Helen uses mainly acrylic paint as it’s fast-drying allowing her to build layers of colour but she also adds chalk, inks and charcoal to the mix depending on the marks required. |
