The Sailors’ Shelter can be found towards the sea end of East Quay in Peel, just down from the turning to Crown Street. It is located towards the bend known as Spit Corner. It will house the work of three diverse artists: Dawn Kennaugh who is best known for her delicate acrylics of animals and birds often produced on vintage materials; Patricia Tutt a photographer and artist who is known for her architectural images but more recently her more ethereal approach to photography and Laura Espinosa Moon who is known for her acrylic landscape paintings and her painting workshops at her studio in Gibb Lane, Peel.

The map above is not terribly accurate, so please follow the following directions. Travelling north on the TT course from Ballacraine, at the Cronk y Voddy crossroads turn right following signs for Little London and Ballahimmin
Pony Trekking. After approximately 2/3 mile turn right onto a narrow lane (Rhenass Road) signposted footpath to Crosby and Ballahimmin Pony Trekking. The Old Barn is the first house on the left hand side of the road, just after some roadside stone sheds. Due to the proximity of livestock it is regrettable that dogs are not allowed.
Ceramic and 2D artist, Erica Kermode, will be exhibiting her work in her purpose-built teaching studio in a recently converted old stone barn.

Located on the right hand side, halfway down the road that leads directly to the Point of Ayre lighthouse, you will find Rebecca’s wonderful, wild and remote cottage studio. The above google map is again not very accurate. There is space at the end of her driveway to turn around.
Rebecca is a multidisciplinary artist and her art practice is fed by research into subjects and ideas that draw from history, religion, mythology and the environment. Rebecca has recently completed her MA at a London art college and her work is well worth travelling to the tip of our beautiful Island to see.
