Betty Laurincova
Betty is a Slovak architect, urbanist and illustrator based on the Isle of Man. Her work explores the space around us and its impact on the space within us. The connection between people and space forms many aspects of our lives but often gets forgotten. Betty creates colourful illustrations to help connect the relationship with our urban spaces and tries to show their potential. Betty works digitally but enjoys varied mediums such as watercolour, oil pastels or colour pencils. The use of bright palettes is a common feature of Betty’s work. Betty designed the Biosphere Shelter in Conrhenny Plantation, organized multiple interactive workshops in Castletown and Port Erin and published some dialogue starting illustrations. www.bettylaurincova.com |
