The aims of The Creative Network are:
- To raise the profile of artists resident on the Isle of Man both here and further afield
- To establish an inclusive network/community of artists and friends
The objectives of The Creative Network are to:
- promote work of its members on the Island and internationally,
- empower individual artists through representation by a single organisation,
- identify opportunities and disseminate information for professional development and training for its members,
- build creative partnerships in collaboration with local government and other organisations,
- provide opportunities for artists to meet and discuss, show and publicly exhibit art,
- encourage artists to explore and improve their skills and broaden their creative engagement through interaction,
- provide support and advice to fellow artists.
Membership:
Full membership of The Creative Network is open, by application, to all professionally qualified artists (including artisans or designer/makers) living on the Isle of Man.
Full membership by application is also open to practitioners who are not professionally qualified. Such applicants should be able to show a history of at least two years practice, inclusion of work in at least two open entry exhibitions or one solo show in a recognised venue or gallery.
Evidence of alternative professional practice, such as a history of private and/or public commissions may be accepted in lieu of these requirements.
