Celine Appleyard Celine is a ceramicist. She graduated from the University of Wolverhampton in 2004 with a First Class Honours Degree in Ceramic design. She also received the Craftline Award for technical achievement in hand building in porcelain. Inspired by nature, the sea and her training in textiles, Celine’s work has been described as, “Clay metamorphosing into fabric, effective, original, beautiful”. Her work is innovative and skilfully hand built in porcelain and stoneware. She particularly loves porcelain for its translucent qualities creating bespoke mood lights. Celine produces a wide range of products, both decorative and functional, including her Manx cats for The Manx National Heritage shops. Celine is currently Artist in Residence at The Engine House, Castletown. She welcomes bespoke commissions. |
