Clare Payne

Originally from Wirral, England, Clare Payne relocated to the Isle of Man in 2002 and now lives in Port Erin with her husband and two children. Clare works primarily in oil, watercolour, and pencil, and specialises in drawings and paintings of wildlife, natural history and the sea.

As a BSc Zoology honours graduate, natural history and the environment have always been her main inspiration. Clare was the 2022-23 inaugural Manx Wildlife Trust Biosphere Artist in Residence, a role that allowed her to inspire people to act for nature through the creation and appreciation of art.
