Graham Hall
At 15 Graham was apprenticed as an engineer and spent 40 years in the manufacturing industry, for many years in senior management roles. In that time he enjoyed designing and developing most of all, though it was never a major part of his working life. Graham began working as a wood turner about 15 years ago then took on a studio at Grenaby. With the influence of other artists, he began to develop his thoughts, combining turning with carving. Graham loves the forms found in nature and they have a profound influence on his work. Graham loves the simple but perfect forms and tries to reflect that in what he does. He is now spending more time working at his studio and is really looking forward to developing a series of new projects and ideas. 'It’s so exciting to be able to develop a whole new phase in life.' |
