Janet Lees

Janet Lees is a lens-based artist, poet and sea lover. Her art photography has been exhibited around the world and her films selected for many festivals and screenings, including the UK’s Aesthetica Art Prize, the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival in Berlin, and Festival Fotogenia in Mexico City.
In 2021 she won the Ó Bhéal International Poetry-Film competition, and this year she chairs the film jury at the JAFEST theatre festival in Lisbon.
​Janet’s two books to date are ‘House of water', a collection of her poems and art photographs supported by Culture Vannin, and 'A bag of sky', the winning poetry collection in the UK-based Frosted Fire Firsts prize.
