Michael Starkey
Michael is Manx and trained at the Isle of Man Art College for three years. After college he went to work in Local Government. In 1999 he won the coveted local Singer & Friedlander Prize. Michael has designed First Day Covers and an Agatha Christie Stamp for Isle of Man Post. He has held one-man shows at the Island's major galleries as well as further afield. His work evokes a nostalgic view of the world, when life was a little slower paced and cars were the exception rather than the rule. |
