"I am a mixed media textile artist and have worked in many different media. However, since I launched my new website I have decided to focus on my two main loves which are producing natural dyed felted items and hand stitching.
I find the materials for dyeing in my large forest garden and these include flowers, leaves, bark, roots and stems. I purchase wool fleeces of many different breeds of sheep from local farmers, wash it, card it and then dye it along with other fibres and threads. I then felt the wool and fibres as a background on which to do hand and machine stitching.
My website sells art and homeware designs inspired by nature. Many of the items I produce for sale here I also sell through Creative Network events. Some
of the stitched pieces are sold as wall hangings but I also have a number of images turned into cards and coasters.
