Patricia Tutt
MEMORY, METAPHOR AND ILLUSION Patricia was busy during Covid, developing new folios of work that draw on fresh images of the Manx landscape as well as her extensive photographic archive to create a body of work based on memory, metaphor and illusion. Some of these works are ‘straight’ photographs, whilst others are composite images of photographic origin. Whether serene abstracts, fantasy architectural facades, or narrative scenes, these new works take her photography into a new realm. All are suitable as wall art, and are available as prints or greetings cards. An architect by training and a photographer by inclination, Patricia has always combined the two, with each informing the other in her work. Although retired from architectural practice and from her teaching work at the Isle of Man College, her photography continues to expand her horizons. Most recently (2023), Patricia is working on a new series of abstract and semi-abstract images. She is using creative techniques including ICM and ME (Intentional Camera Movement and Multiple Exposure) in ways which subtly invoke mood and atmosphere. patriciatutt.com |
