MEMORY, METAPHOR AND ILLUSION Patricia has been a keen photographer for over sixty years, specialising in crossovers between her photography and her profession as an architect. In recent years, however, she has become much more creative in her photograph, taking it in new directions. Whilst developing a body of work based on memory, metaphor and illusion, she has been revisiting aspects of the Manx landscape and urban scene and reinterpreting her photo archive. Whether serene abstracts, fantasy architectural facades, or narrative scenes, these new works take her photography into the realms of minimalist, abstract and semi-abstract images. She is using creative techniques including ICM and ME (Intentional Camera Movement and Multiple Exposure) in ways which subtly or dramatically invoke mood and atmosphere. patriciatutt.com |
