Shane Lucas

Shane Lucas works from Birchill Studio, his artistic talents are diverse.
He sold hundreds of Pastel Portraits and Landscapes in oils, but now concentrates on Pen & ink illustrations, many of which have been published in books and magazines, including instructions and advertisements for various firms.
His 14 books include those covering adventurous activities, such as Caving, Rescue and Outward Bound, especially the exploration of the Laxey Mine.
Shane is a prolific sculptor, both in wood carving and Clay models, usually of the human body partaking in various activities, such as mining, dancing or gymnastics and also religious subjects.
