Silverdale Herring Hunt

Last year it was beetles that invaded the Glen at Silverdale. This year it is herring! A shoal of weird and wonderful, magical herring have left the sea at Castletown, swam up the Silverburn river along the ‘Herring Way’, (Bayr ny Skeddan) to take up residence in Silverdale Glen. These strange fish have left their watery habitat and hidden amongst the trees, waiting to be found.
Children of all ages are invited to visit and hunt these fishy fish down. Some are easy to spot but others are more shy and may take a bit more searching for.
