"After a 30 year career in Health and Social Care, I returned to College to study Art / Design . My approach is whimsical and playful and current work includes: (i) “Entomology... Art ... Science ... And Coincidental Conservation” and (ii) “Profanities”. My entomology work seeks to explore our relationship with insects and how this may be expressed in art. To a lesser degree, it’s also about collecting and the interface between Art and Science. It’s done through mixed media, found objects, readymade, assemblage and appropriation. The Profanities work challenges the viewer to question / confront their relationship with words many may find offensive. It brings together a love of calligraphy, illuminated lettering and 60s style art nouveau." 01624 827322 | 07624 379588 |
