5 - 6 August
5 - 6 August
Art Squared - The Square
Market Square, Castletown
Located right in the heart of Castletown in Market Square, The Square houses a host of small businesses, including the vibrant and friendly Art Squared, the studio of artist and illustrator, Eve Adams.
Eve’s studio will be open throughout the Festival month, Thursday to Saturday, 11-5. Pop upstairs to see her demonstrating how she makes her highly detailed miniature dioramas and automata.
Artist Juan Moore has recently moved into the building so you can also visit his new studio and shop. Juan will be there Wednesday to Sunday through the summer .
Once an old bank, the building contains The Art Vault, an exhibition space located in the old bank vault.
Eve will be filling the vault with brand new work, as well as inviting other local artists to join her in exhibiting throughout the building. Jimmy Thistle's photos, documenting his recent epic fundraising walk round the Island, will be on display and work by artist, Megan Hindley.
Parking is available throughout Castletown. Follow the signs for any Town Centre parking and then head to the pedestrianised Market Square in the centre. Saturday 5th is Castletown Festival Day, so parking may be a bit more restricted and road closures will be in place for the parade etc. but it will be an exciting day to visit. If you prefer a quieter visit Sunday may be the day for you?
