Patricia tutt - homeland - texture of the hills
Whether born here or ‘come-overs,’ we all absorb the influence of the Manx landscape. It becomes part of our identity, our inner landscape and a reflection of where we live. It infuses the Manx National Anthem (Land of Our Birth) and becomes as much an idea as a reality.
After sixty years of mostly ‘straight’ photography Patricia has, since the onset of the Covid lockdown, become much more experimental in her photography, and is working on a series of impressionistic images that catch this dream-like representation of the Manx Homeland.
Medium: photographic print
Dimensions: 36 x 27 cm
