Open Garden Studio
Red Herring House, 8 The Viking Longhouse, East Quay, Peel, IM5 1AR
Myra Gilbert will be showing a range of her own work in 2D and 3D mixed media, including some of her amazing hand-made, delicate paper dresses. She will also display some of her late husband's images. Eric Glithero was a much valued Creative Network member who left behind some wonderful less known artworks. There will be creative activity for visitors to get involved with if they wish.
Myra will be joined by two guest artists at the Garden Studio. One is Ashley Pettit who is perhaps better known on the Isle of Man for his work as an architect. The other is a Swedish printmaker, Sara Shakespeare, who spent her early years on the Isle of Man and is popping back to show her work.
From the House of Manannan, cross over to the Creek Inn and head along East Quay towards the sea. Look out for open black iron gates into a cobbled courtyard surrounded by black cladding indicating ‘East Quay Yard’. Follow the Festival signage into the courtyard and then up the stone side steps into the back garden of the pop-up home studio. Sorry, no dogs allowed in the complex.
Disabled access may be arranged by telephoning 840130.
