New for 2018, in conjunction with 'The Year of Our Island', the Creative Network are developing a new type of attraction; a Culture & Art Walk, which will begin in Castletown, and follow the Bayr Ny Skeddan (Herring way), along the Silverburn river to Silverdale Glen, Ballasalla. The trail will feature both permanent and temporary, ephemeral work, adding a new and dynamic element to the 2018 festival. Work will begin to appear, in-situ, in time for the Festival on May Bank Holiday weekend and the trail will grow and develop throughout the year, creating a bold legacy project, at one with the Island's biosphere status. In Poulsom Park there is now a lovely live willow dome to pay in! It will grow and sprout and will soon be covered in leaves. Many thanks to Creative Network member Eve Adams and to Castle Town Commissioners, especially Steve, for their help. Throughout the year we will be offering family workshops and regular updates, check in with the Creative Network through our website, Facebook page or newsletter to keep up to date as the trail develops
