Thank you for joining us at Noa Bakehouse last Thursday for a brilliant social evening! It was a lovely opportunity to catch up with old friends, put names to faces and to share our plans for the 2016 Isle of Man Art Festival.
Special thank you to Miles and the team for the most excellent pizza and nibbles. We'll get notes written up and share them online very soon! For those of you interesting in joining the Creative Network and missed getting an application form last night, you can find them online here. Photos: Carola Rush

We are hosting a social evening at Noa Bakehouse in Douglas on Thursday 14th January from 7pm 'til 9pm! It is aimed at both existing members and artists interested joining the group, who wish to learn about plans for the recently renamed 'Isle of Man Art Festival', (formerly known as 'Western Open Studio Art Trail' or 'WOSAT').
The re-brand will allow greater scope for growing the event across the island, and is intended to encourage Island-wide artist participation. The Isle of Man Art Festival will continue to take place over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 30th April to Monday 2nd May 2016, for it's fifth year. This year, there will be opportunities to exhibit at the Hodgson Loom Gallery in Laxey and Noa Bakehouse in Douglas, as well as our usual venues in the west of the island. As well as exhibitions of artists’ work, the Art Festival provides the opportunity to participate in workshops, see artists demonstrating a wide variety of techniques and peek inside artists' studios. We look forward to seeing you at Noa! The first exhibition of 2016 at The Isle Gallery opens on Sunday at 2pm, with a 'meet the artists' afternoon. 'Art Reached' will showcase artwork by children and adults, exclusively created during a comprehensive calendar of workshops held at the gallery throughout 2015!
